Having more children could slow aging

In the journal PLOS One, researchers reveal that women who had more children had longer telomeres than women who had fewer children.

Telomeres are caps at the end of each DNA strand that protect our chromosomes - thread-like structures that contain all our genetic information - from damage.

Each time a cell replicates, telomeres become shorter. They eventually become so short that they stop protecting chromosomes, leaving them vulnerable to damage, which in turn causes our cells to age and stop functioning effectively.

Previously, animal studies have supported the "life history theory," suggesting that higher reproductive behavior is associated with accelerated biological aging.

However, this latest study, led by Prof. Pablo Nepomnaschy and Cindy Barha - both of Simon Fraser University in Canada - contradicts this theory.

    1. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if life insurance was something I needed in my 20s, but this post really opened my eyes. I got a policy at 24, and my rate is locked in super low—which feels like a smart move for my future self Visit the website

    1. Hey, just got my hands on the Hayati Pro Max and honestly, it’s been a breeze to use! Look, I’m pretty new to vaping, and all the fancy stuff out there was kinda overwhelming. But this one? Few clicks, fill it up, and boom—happy clouds Have a peek at this website

    1. Hey all, just picked up the Xlim SE as a first vape. Is it easy to fill without messing up? I’ve heard some pods can be a bit fiddly. Cheers!

Totally agree on the mid-trip reset, did mine in Chiang Mai and it completely refreshed my vibe for the next few months on the road. There's something about settling in a spot for a bit that makes traveling less exhausting and more enjoyable Article source
